KR. RM. Kariya Manickam Ambalam
KR. RM. Kariya Manickam Ambalam (Tamil: கரு. இராம. கரியமாணிக்கம் அம்பலம்). He was popularly called கப்பலூர் கரியமாணிக்கம் அம்பலார் by his peoples. Ambalam was born in the small village of Kappallur, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District in Tamil Nadu state. He was a popular leader in Sivagangai District. He hailed from a wealthy landlord family. Ambalam was the only son of his father Ramasamy Ambalam. He had one son and three daughters. He acted as a popular leader for over 100 villages and a few towns. He hailed from the kallar community.
